Rare 'Venezia' Ceramic Table Lamp in Silver by Marcello Cuneo and SC3 for Phillips, Italy, 1970s
- Description
-
Designed by Marcello Cuneo, the 'Venezia' table lamp was manufuctured by SC3 for Phillips and produced in the 1970s. The lamp uses a ceramic body with a rotating aperture around the bulb. The opening can be adjusted steplessly to control the direction of the light. The Venezia series was designed as a functional lighting object with a mechanism that allows both direct and indirect illumination. Philips manufactured lighting products for domestic and commercial use and distributed them through international retail and design markets during the twentieth century. This specific version was manufactured by SC3 for Phillips in Italy.
Condition
The silver surface shows very minor signs of use and age consistent with the age of the object. On the top section of the silver part there are some small white spots that originate from the glazing process. These marks are part of the original finish. The lamp remains in good vintage condition and the lighting function operates as intended.
We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
In case you have any additional questions about the original condition, always feel free to reach out and ask us for additional images. We do also offer services such as restoration and re-upholstery in case this is wished for.
