This floor lamp dates to the 1950s and originates from Scandinavia. It consists of a wooden base, a wooden stem, and a fiberglass shade. The base forms a solid support and presents a shaped structure that connects directly to the stem. The stem rises from the center of the base and follows a slight bend along its length. At the upper end, the stem supports a fiberglass shade. The shade attaches through a mounting element that includes wooden components. The fiberglass functions as a diffuser for the light source housed inside the shade. The lamp was produced during a period of postwar interior design development in Northern Europe. The combination of wood and fiberglass reflects material choices available during the mid twentieth century.
Condition: This floor lamp is in very good vintage condition, with some small age related user marks and a very small sign of wear in the fiberglass shade.
