Kazuhide Takahama spent much of his career designing for notable European furniture manufacturers such as B&B Italia and Gavina, but several of his pieces reflect the refined simplicity associated with his home country of Japan. Such examples include Takahama’s Saori floor lamp, which is named after one of his children.
Created in 1973, the lamp comprises a domed metal frame with white synthetic fabric stretched over it. The piece has recently been rewired and PAT tested to UK standards.

Béton Brut
Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
