A pair of 1930s Art Deco lounge chairs upholstered in sage fabric, featuring Grissinato detailing on the arms with evenly spaced horizontal ridges. The frames are constructed from solid oak, offering both structural integrity and visual weight. The front legs are set on brass castors, while the rear legs remain fixed, requiring the chairs to be lifted at the back for repositioning. Generously proportioned, the chairs provide a wider and deeper seat than standard models of the period, allowing for extended comfort and versatility in placement. The rear view combines the sage upholstery with exposed oak framing along the sides, creating a balanced interplay between material and form. The back feet are softly curved, contributing to a refined overall silhouette. All materials and joinery reflect the craftsmanship and manufacturing techniques characteristic of the 1930s, making these chairs suitable for both period-specific and contemporary interiors.
Condition: These chairs have been reupholstered in a Sage velvet. The frame was restored with respect for it's age. Showing some subtle traces of wear.
