A Swedish Pine Lovö dining table designed by Axel Einar Hjorth (1888–1959) for Nordiska Kompaniet in the 1930s. A major contributor to the country’s burgeoning design culture that was recognised internationally in the 1920s, Hjorth effectively introduced Swedish decorative arts and architecture to the United States. His unique minimal style heralded the Swedish modern movement.
The table has a central stretcher joining two trestle ends with mortise and tenon joints. It’s in fantastic original condition, with minor surface scratches and marks.

Béton Brut
Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
