A set of three 1970s ceiling lamps, attributed to the Florentine designer Tommaso Barbi (b.1944-2015), known for his expressive use of brass.
Each lamp is characterised by four hammered brass panels, articulated with a rational, brutalist restraint and reduced in ornament. Its cuboid form is subtly repeated in hammered fixtures above.
In good vintage condition, with no significant wear to the hammered surfaces. Recently rewired and PAT tested to UK standards.

Béton Brut
Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
