To celebrate the collaboration, Basic.Space teams up with London-based designer Paul Cocksedge and SolidNature to create a unique limited series of the whimsical The Bookmark in natural stone.

The new 20 limited edition of The Bookmark, each signed and numbered by Paul, will be exclusively for sale online at Basic.Space until 1 June 2024. The first 10 orders of each size, Paul Cocksedge will include a unique, A4 hand drawn sketch that captures the spirit of The Bookmark.

This new edition of The Bookmark in collaboration with SolidNature, available in both table and floor sizes, sees the book elevated further still through a Quartzite stone - Laguna. Quartzite is a very hard (and therefore strong) material. Laguna Quartzite is an unusual dark and varied aqua colored stone with gold, tan, and brown veining. Whilst the large Bookmark is made out of a Quartzite, the smaller version is made out of a black marble with intensive goldisch coloration displayed in its veins, making a striking structure.

The simplicity in geometry of the wedge-shaped bookshape, with its large flat planes, becomes the perfect uninterrupted canvas to show off this intricately veined material to its full effect.
