SHISEIDO EUDERMINE by Tadanori Yokoo, 1997

$8,435
Description

Originally created to celebrate 100 years of Shiseido’s iconic skincare line, this silkscreen by Tadanori Yokoo reimagines the brand’s history through bold color, collage, and surreal composition. An illustration of the original Shiseido store in Ginza anchors the piece, followed by portraits of the brand’s founding figures and a central woman in a classical-meets-ukiyo-e style holding a bottle of Eudermine. The result is a layered fusion of heritage and modernity—where beauty, art, and commerce intersect. Now part of the permanent collections at MoMA in New York and the National Museum of Art in Osaka, Shiseido Eudermine stands as a landmark in Japanese graphic design and visual culture.
