Pucci de Rossi Attr. Coffee Table, Italy, 1980s
- Description
-
A coffee table in the manner of Pucci de Rossi. Dynamic interlocking shapes forged from metal form the base in which a plane of glass lays. Italian-born, Paris-based Pucci de Rossi (1947-2013) trained under the watchful eye of American sculptor H.B. Walker. Rossi had both striking aesthetics and functionality at the forefront of his mind when designing. He created works across a range of mediums, from jewellery and furniture to sculpture and painting, blurring the lines between art and design.
The base is in good condition with a lovely patina and oxidation to the surface. The glass top, which is not believed to be original, is in vintage condition with signs of wear but remains structurally sound. It can be replaced upon request. This piece is not signed, so its authenticity is not verified.

Béton Brut
Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
