Pair of Harvey Guzzini Olympe Table Lamps ED, Italy, 1970s
- Description
-
The demilune shades of this oversized pair are particularly pleasing lit: half moons of ambient light through semi-opaque acrylic. The design has a stepped metal base and an opening at the back for ease of changing the two bulbs.
Harvey Guzzini is not a sole designer, but a collective of six brothers – Raimondo, Virgilio, Giovanni, Giuseppe, Adolfo and Giannunzio – who produced Bauhaus-informed lighting from 1963. Partnerships with high-profile names like Gio Ponti and Fabio Lenci soon followed.
The lamps have been re-wired and PAT tested to UK standards.

Béton Brut
Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
