This pair of wicker armchairs from the 1940s features a darker oak frame with a lighter seagrass rope seating and backrest. The oak frame provides a sturdy and durable structure, while the webbing offers a lighter, more flexible seating surface. The design focuses on simplicity, with clean lines and functional form. The chairs are constructed with a balance of materials, with the contrasting colors of the oak and wicker creating a clear distinction between the two. The rope seating and backrest allow for comfort while maintaining an open, airy feel.
Condition: The wickerwork on these chairs is in good used condition, showing some small discoloration and some wiggle room on the armrests. The wooden frame on both chairs have received a small restoration. Prior to shipping we'll need to improve the structure of the chairs, one of them has a few loose wood joints.
We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
In case you have any additional questions about the original condition, always feel free to reach out and ask us for additional images. We do also offer services such as restoration and re-upholstery in case this is wished for.
