Mario Bellini Piccola Tentazione Armchairs, Cassina, Italy, 1973

$8,620
Description

Gently curving contours shape these plush Piccola Tentazione armchairs. These armchairs are a fine example of the pieces that the Milanese architect Mario Bellini – and former Domus magazine editor – created for Cassina from 1973 onwards. This pair comes in a narrow iteration, perfect for compact spaces.

The chairs are in great condition and have been recently reupholstered in creme Suzon fabric by Pierre Frey. Four armchairs are available for purchase.

Bellini (b.1935) is a renowned Italian designer. His instinct for creating monumental pieces of design with distinctive architectural character has won him eight Compasso d’Oro awards and the Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement by the Triennale di Milano.

Béton Brut

Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
