Milanese architects Mario Asnago and Claudio Vender were in constant pursuit of pure geometry. The Moka chair, originally designed in 1939, can be seen as one of their most fully realised expressions.
Spare and streamlined, this chair is an example of Italian Rationalism (of which the pair were leading exponents). These six chairs are constructed from lacquered tubular metal and defined by its ‘X’ motif — a recurring shape across their architectural and furniture designs.
The set is in good vintage condition.

Béton Brut
Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
