Marzio Cecchi Coffee Table Italy, 1970s
- Description
-
The son of haute couturier Giulia Carla Cecchi, Marzio Cecchi (Florence, 1940–1990) imbued his furniture designs with the flair of a costumer. He went on to found design manufacturer Studio Most after graduating in architecture from the University of Florence. His untimely death cut short his creative process, drawing a line under a limited but diverse body of work.
The suggestion of a scroll-like volute lends classical appeal to this rare coffee table, which sits low and louche on two angled legs. Wrapped in a cream lacquer, its distinctive rolled top offers design interest without sacrificing simplicity of form.
It’s in great vintage condition, with some fine crazing to the lacquered surface. A smaller matching coffee table is also available.

Béton Brut
Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
