'Easy One' Armchair in Patinated Steel and Leather by Jonathan Singleton, UK/Spain, 1990s

$6,700
Description

"Easy One' lounge chiar by Jonathan Singleton is a sculptural piece that merges industrial craftsmanship with functional design. Its structure is formed from curved steel panels that create an enclosed, monolithic shape. The patinated surface shows natural wear, with subtle scratches and tonal variations adding depth. A single leather seat cushion provides contrast, both visually and texturally, softening the chair’s rigid form. The piece reflects a Brutalist influence while maintaining a modernist simplicity.

Jonathan Singleton, (born in the UK, working in Spain) is known for his expertise in metal craftsmanship, creating furniture that balances industrial materials with sculptural forms. His work explores the intersection of design and fine art, often emphasizing raw materials and bold geometric structures.

Condition: The chair remains in good condition, with signs of use that enhance its character. Newly upholstered leather cushion. Scratched the patinated surface are visible. Restoration is available upon request, though its current aged patina aligns with the designer’s original intent.

We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
