This antique sculptural vessel from Kenya is hand-carved from local hardwood, with a rich patina that has developed over decades of preservation. A vertical metal inlay along one side—once a practical reinforcement—now serves as a striking decorative detail, highlighting the piece’s age and authenticity. Due to age-related cracking, this vessel is no longer watertight and is best suited for dry display or as a standalone sculptural object. Estimated from the 1970s, this piece is a true collector's gem. One of one.
