Gucci Ghost
Trevor Andrew, also known as GucciGhost, is renowned for his street art and digital designs, often featuring his signature motif of an inverted Gucci monogram. Andrew's artistic approach merges the consumer culture appropriation seen in Pop art, reminiscent of Andy Warhol, with the aesthetics of skateboard culture and graffiti, drawing influence from artists like Mark Gonzales and Jean-Michel Basquiat. In a surprising turn of events, Gucci offered Andrew a job in 2016, leading to several successful collaborations, including a popular capsule collection with the iconic Italian fashion house. This collaboration played a significant role in Gucci's organic sales, which rose by 48.3% in the fiscal year. Andrew creates art across a variety of mediums, including paintings and digital works. His pieces have been exhibited at prestigious institutions such as the V&A Museum in London, The Museum of Modern Art in Shanghai, Powerlong Museum in Shanghai, Parco in Osaka, Maccarone Gallery in Los Angeles, Milk Studios in New York, and Allouche Gallery in both LA and NY. In the digital art space, Andrew collaborates with leading platforms like Nifty Gateway, MakersPlace, Sotheby’s, and Christie's.
