Set of four Ron Arad Fantastic Plastic Elastic Chairs Kartell, Italy, 1990s

$1,560
Description

A paean to plastic, this stacking chair by British-Israeli industrial designer Ron Arad (b.1951) is now held in the collection of MoMa. Though lightweight and practical, it has a fluid and muscular profile defined by the extruded aluminium frame. This semi-transparent edition is a versatile alternative to the better-known red colourway.

In good vintage condition, with some localised wear including marks and scratches.

Béton Brut

Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
