Set of four Pierre Guariche Tulip chairs Steiner, France 1950s

$14,950
Description

French designer Pierre Guariche (1926-1995) saw himself primarily as an architect, and there’s a pleasing efficiency to this ergonomic design from 1954. The cast aluminium shell, with its now widely adopted cut out back, recalls the form of its namesake flower in a restrained geometry. It sits on four elegant lacquered legs.

In good vintage condition, with no chips or colour deterioration.

Béton Brut

Béton Brut presents rare, design-led furniture from Europe and Japan. The collection, drawn from over a century of design, coheres around functional art & sculptural forms. Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
