La Fleur Endormie is the latest piece of a new series of objects, the Lueur Series, exploring different expressions of hope. The piece is a reflection on hope and the passage of time. It portrays a flower slowly dying, yet still giving off light, a symbol of resilience in the face of change. As the flower faces its own decline, the viewer is reminded of life’s fragility and the beauty that can exist even in moments of loss. Surrounded by organic forms, the piece creates both a physical and emotional experience. The work explores how light and beauty can persist even as things fade. It offers a reminder that there is still hope in fragile moments. This mirror is a hybrid piece, born from the fusion of two techniques that rarely meet. On one side, gilding, a traditional craft dating back to antiquity, rooted in history, precision, and handwork. On the other hand, 3D printing, a modern tool that allows total freedom of form and experimentation. The piece was fully crafted by the artist, who worked closely with gilding experts in Paris to understand and respect the depth of this ancestral technique.
