Harria da Argia Moztu by Joshua Linacisoro

$2,800
Description
Harria da Argia is a minimalist lamp designed by Barcelona‑based creator Joshua Linacisoro. Drawing on his Basque roots, each piece highlights tradition and craftsmanship. The name, which in Basque means “the stone is light,” reflects the duality of stone as both a source of illumination and a symbol of lightness, a central idea in the series. Made from alabaster, a material known for its translucency, the lamps emit a soft, warm glow that creates an intimate atmosphere conducive to conversation and community. The strength and malleability of alabaster have allowed Linacisoro to develop four distinct designs, each carrying a symbolic reference to Basque iconography and to rural sports that hold personal significance for the artist. One of the pieces, Moztu 04—moztu meaning “to cut”—alludes to the traditional wood‑cutting competitions known as aizkolaris.
