A masterpiece of Italian leatherwork, the Bottega chair is a tribute to the "saddle hide" tradition of Udine. Designed by Renzo Fauciglietti and Graziella Bianchi, this chair features a slim steel armature entirely enveloped in hand-stitched, high-quality leather. Its minimalist, architectural lines are softened by the warmth of the natural material and the visible artisan stitching that defines its silhouette. It is an exceptionally fine and durable piece that perfectly embodies the "Quiet Luxury" aesthetic.
Frag has been a specialist in leather and hide since 1921; the Bottega series is one of their most iconic designs, noted for its difficult-to-execute "tailored" leather application over a rigid frame.
Fair vintage condition. The leather has softened and developed a significant patina with age. While the seams and artisan stitching remain clean and tight, the leather surface shows various marks and stains consistent with authentic use. This "worn-in" look adds to the chair's vintage character.
