Designed by the legendary Philippe Starck, the Broom Chair is a masterclass in sustainable high-design. Produced by Emeco, the American company famous for the Navy Chair, this piece is made from a pioneering composite of recycled industrial plastic and wood fibers (the "sweepings" of the factory floor, hence the name). Its organic, "sand" color and minimalist silhouette make it a versatile addition to any interior, bridging the gap between mid-century warmth and modern industrial ethics.
Philippe Starck famously described this project as "the elegance of the minimum." It was designed to consume as little energy and as few new materials as possible, becoming an icon of eco-conscious luxury furniture.
Good overall condition in the sought-after sand colorway. Please note that the lower sides of the legs show some "ripped" texture/abrasions from contact, common with this specific wood-fiber composite. Structurally perfect and very sturdy.
