This cocktail table, designed by Willy Rizzo, is a part of his Alveo Series - alveo meaning riverbed. Rizzo, who first made his name as a photographer, launched his design career in the 1970s when he began creating luxury furniture for his own loft in Rome. His design style, characterized by neoclassical grandeur, enjoyed much success amongst his preexisting celebrity clientele. This particular piece boasts a rich burl walnut veneer and brass-accented corners, with a smart, recessed base.
Excellent, restored condition. Origin in Italy.
