Brooklyn-based DUSKSHAPED makes experimental, witty design objects in the most sustainable common building material: metal. Drawing on a background in the logic-based disciplines of philosophy and music, DUSKSHAPED's design ethos flows from a preoccupation with rigid order -- and a desire to witness moments when chaos or a loss of control pierces that order, revealing the sublime. DUSKSHAPED is organized around sustainability, beginning with steel and aluminum, the only common building materials that are systematically recycled and infinitely recyclable.
