This vase is about holding what does not last. A flower opens for only a few hours; amber, the resin of the Baltic forests where I grew up, has kept such fragile moments intact for millions of years. Living in Barcelona, I found the same longing in Catalan Modernisme, where nature is frozen mid-growth and turned into architecture. The vase stands between these worlds: a bloom caught as it unfolds, made in a material that remembers being liquid. It carries the nostalgia of someone living far from home, and the wish to keep a moment from passing.

Szymon Keller
Szymon is a Polish designer and interior architect whose practice moves between interior architecture, collectible design and bespoke furniture. Based in Barcelona, where he runs his studio and workshop, he develops residential and hospitality interiors alongside sculptural and functional objects, approaching each scale as part of the same creative language.
