The Plĭco Cabinet, is made of natural aluminium, a material used in industrial production for series products, chosen by the atelier as a structural element, light and reflective, bent and shaped into a modular element, capable of capturing the surrounding light and concentrating it along the surface.
Enriching and decorating each panel is the leather weave of the atelier, characterized by a dense, light and resistant weave, yet extremely flexible and elastic in use and hold, becoming the structural and load-bearing joint of the design piece in Collection.
The flexibility of the leather and the lightness of the aluminium allow the folding screen to be closed ‘packaged’, through the use of steel gaskets combined with spherical decorative elements that mark its verticality.
The geometric motif on the aluminium surface emphasizes the sinuosity of the shapes, giving impetus and rhythm to the modularity of each panels, enriching it with details and becoming the distinctive signature of the atelier.
The reverse side of the surface has a contrasting matt and satin finish to emphasise the texture of the leather and the rhythmic rhythm of the steel trimmings, which are reminiscent of textile stitching with their staple-like shape, making the two materials strong and binding them together.
Configuration: 5-module screen (possibility of combining several modules, for a minimum of 4 W25)
The materials used aims to promote the production of unique and commissioned pieces through the theme of craftsmanship, for a production that looks towards sustainability. Leather colours subject to availability.

Atelier Nuanda
Atelier Nuanda is a place where design and craftsmanship meet, founded in Bologna in 2022 by Cecilia Rinaldi, textile designer and artist, and her husband. The creative approach combines experimentation between different disciplines, a focus on design and craftsmanship: a vision in which the contemporary combines harmoniously with a past that is still alive, made up of ancient traditions and techniques. The atelier has developed an innovative leather processing technique, which enables the creation of light and original artefacts. From the weave, a new knitted textile structure is created: a leather weave that can be used as a supporting and decorative element at the same time, and is suitable as a base or covering for fashion accessories, furniture and decorative artefacts. The design process aims to promote the sustainable production of unique and commissioned pieces that combine functionality and design, through the theme of craftsmanship.
