Jinsik Kim

Jinsik Kim graduated with a Master’s degree from ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne in Switzerland in 2013. Based in Seoul, he runs a contemporary design studio that explores the intellectual relationship between nature and human beings, with a particular focus on minimalist structures and forms, as well as the essential qualities and purity inherent in materials. He has collaborated with global brands and institutions including Christofle, Baccarat, Hermès, Bolon, Nestlé, Wallpaper* magazine, LG Household & Health Care, and Gallery Seomi. In 2016, he became the first Korean designer to participate in Wallpaper Handmade*, an exhibition and project organized by Wallpaper* magazine. His work has been presented at major international design fairs and exhibitions, including Design Miami, Salone del Mobile Milano, Maison&Objet Paris, and New York Design Week, as well as at renowned institutions and galleries such as Saatchi Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA). He received the Wallpaper Design Awards 2019 and the interieur awards 2016 in Belgium. In 2021, he was selected by Wallpaper* magazine as one of its “Future Creative Leaders.”
