Darryl Westly & Andrew Ross
Andrew Ross and Darryl Westly are visual artists based in New York City. Darryl Westly was recruited as a finish painter under Jeff Koons, and since his own works have been exhibited at BHQF at the Armory, Artists Space and as part of Art Central Hong Kong. Westly’s unique style of painting makes use of disrupted space, disjointed landscapes, and pixelated environments as he examines culture and ethnicity as seen through a signature layered aesthetic. Using reverse engineering as a framework to drive his studio, Andrew Ross creates sculpture, drawings, and digital prints centered around empty signifiers and decontextualized images. Ross has exhibited at The Drawing Center, The Studio Museum in Harlem, and Artists Space, among others, and his work has been reviewed in Artforum and Art in America.
