Rolfe Horn ‘Freeway Interchange Demolition #18’ Print, USA, 1999

$530
Description

A freeway cuts a sharp diagonal axis through the clouds, creating a striking, dynamic composition.

Californian photographer, Rolfe Horn (b.1971) captures black and white landscapes when light is at its most pliant: at night, in the early hours, capturing scenes where time seems to be held in suspense. Working in long exposures, Horn creates each photograph in his dark room, a devoted practice he started when a teenager.

A framed gelatin silver print, signed, dated and numbered ’11/45′. The frame matches the one used for our ‘Docks, Study I, Barnegat Bay, New Jersey’ print by Rolfe Horn.

Béton Brut comes from the concrete finish used in modernist architecture. It is rational yet organic, just like the collection.
