Melodramatic Cafe, 2022
- Description
-
The first bowl to decipher the collection of these bowls. I was more prepared this time than last. Spending days in Pia’s studio (@aip.arte) watching her paint, and with an emphasis on Spanish words, I was inspired. Also inspired initially by the cafes and signage lining the streets of any town I hope to visit - possibly the reason I want to visit these towns. I like typefaces, and this cafe is one I invented, it’s a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing, painting. This bowl set up the direction for the rest of the collection.
