Contemplation Daybed by Christoph R. Siebrasse

Description

The 'Contemplation' daybed is one of five ever produced. It features cubist steel framing, marble slabs and a generous felt cover. Removing the felt offers the opportunity for the piece to be used as a coffee table. An important figure in “Neues deutsches Design” [New German Design] movement of the 1980's, Siebrasse began making furniture at the age of 16 and still makes works today.


Vintage condition with subtle signs of wear in keeping with age, including some natural oxidization of the steel surface and light wear to the marble.
