'Condensation' Series C2, Glazed Ceramic Sculpture in Green by Eunsol Kim, The Netherlands, 2025"
- Description
-
This sculpture is inspired by the moisture-covered windows often seen in the Netherlands. The artist translated the soft, blurred landscapes created by condensation into ceramic works. Using a glaze developed specifically for this series, the surfaces capture the appearance of moisture gathering. The collection reflects brief, disappearing moments of daily life through a quiet, poetic lens. She is currently expanding the Condensation Collection, first presented at Dutch Design Week 2025.
Eunsol Kim is an Korean artist based in the Netherlands, Eindhoven working with ceramics to explore notions of time and materiality. She finds inspiration in small moments and overlooked details of everyday life, observing them with a warm and attentive gaze after which she translates these quiet encounters into her work. This practice goes beyond simple representation, inviting people to rediscover the subtle beauty embedded in ordinary objects and fleeting moments. Eunsol Kim her work seeks to bring these understated forms of beauty back into daily life, creating gentle pauses, small joys and moments of resonance that linger with warmth.
Condition: Each sculpture features a unique glaze that produces distinct condensation patterns, with variations in structure and color throughout each ceramic piece. The ceramics are thin-walled, lightweight, and hollow, and the glaze is achieved through specialized processes; due to its fragile nature, there is a possibility of flaking, so careful handling is required.
We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
In case you have any additional questions about the original condition, always feel free to reach out and ask us for additional images. The artist is available for custom commissions and can accommodate alternative color schemes upon request. Feel free to contact us to discuss the possibilities.
