Jobe Burns

Jobe Burns (b. 1995, Walsall) is a British sculptor whose work explores the enduring relationship between people, labour and the skills that shape everyday life. Rooted in the industrial heritage of the Black Country and informed by a family history of working trades, Burns transforms cast iron, weathered steel, and salvaged agricultural tools into sculptural forms that balance monumentality with vulnerability. His works investigate themes of isolation, resilience and collective memory, using traditional service-based skills to reflect on the social and emotional conditions of contemporary Britain. Burns is a finalist of the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2026, currently showing at the National Gallery Singapore, and a recent recipient of the Jaguar Arts Award. He lives and works between London and the West Midlands.
