Alex.Zamora

Alex Zamora (he/him) is a Spanish artist and designer based in Amsterdam. With a diverse skill set ranging from handcraft to design, he brings a multidisciplinary approach to his creative practice. Having completed his education at the Design Lab Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Alex possesses a strong background in ceramics, furniture making, graphic design and vijing. His artistic journey has led him to explore the intersections between product design, set deoration, and fine art. Alex's art pieces can be found in select stores across Amsterdam, Antwerp, Madrid, A Coruña, New York, and Beijing, reflecting the international appeal of his creations. Drawing inspiration from his past experiences and the limitations he encountered with materials, he channels his artistic vision into everyday objects that evoke a sense of both comfort and fragility. Clocks, flowers, and candles frequently take center stage in his work, imbuing each piece with a familiar and intimate quality. Emotions play a pivotal role in Alex's creative process, as he approaches each piece with a manual and intuitive intervention.
