Jieun Park

Jieun Park

For the past fifteen years, Jieun Park has developed a practice centered on repeatedly linking small units to construct larger forms. Through the sustained rhythm of repetition and circulation, she explores the inner and spiritual dimensions that emerge through labor. The continuous movement of the hand becomes a process of healing, expanding her practice into a space of meditation and ritual. Since 2019, she has further broadened her artistic language through objects and installation-based works. Park received both her BFA and MFA in Metal Craft from Konkuk University and earned her PhD from Kookmin University. She currently runs an independent studio in Seoul while serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Living Design at Konkuk University, where she teaches metal craft and contemporary jewelry. She has presented seven solo exhibitions and participated in more than one hundred group exhibitions internationally. Her recent distinctions include being selected as a finalist for the 2026 LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize and the 2026 Lexus Creative Masters, and receiving Third Prize at the 21st International Silver Triennial 2025 in Germany. Her works are held in the permanent collections of institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London and the Seoul Museum of Craft Art (SeMoCA).
