Asher Gillman

A Los Angeles based artist and designer formally trained in Furniture design, my work intends to sometimes make the harsh sweet. Or the serious simple. Drawing on vernacular and sacred architectures—Venitan temples, Pennsylvania farmhouses, and the urban landscapes of Los Angeles— Well translated through the processes of joinery and metalworking. Each piece asserts detail as structure, rendering ornament and utility indistinguishable.
