Welcome to erthouse, a place where you can be surprised by 20th century pieces. We firmly believe in the transformative power of human connection and the profound impact that thoughtfully chosen objects can have on our lives. Our vision is to enrich our customers by offering furniture that is not only visually captivating but also infused with history and significance. These objects are not mere decorations—they are vessels of memory, culture, and emotion that resonate with those who choose them, becoming a part of their living spaces. Our collection has been put together with sensitivity where we not only offer pieces from well-known makers but also anonymous objects with a distinctive character. We both truly enjoy the thrill of discovering the perfect mid-century design pieces from around the world, often when we least expect it, those items that add a unique character to every space. Equally rewarding is our commitment to ensuring that our clients have the best possible experience, all the way through to far beyond the delivery. It’s this blend of passion for design and dedication to exceptional service that drives everything we do at erthouse. Together, Joost and Tessa bring nearly two decades of experience in the 20th century design industry, a powerful combination of expertise that shapes every challenge they take on.

  • Cyrc.

Cyrc. is a Montréal-based design studio reimagining objects through the lens of circularity. Founded on the principle that waste is a design flaw, not an inevitability, Cyrc creates 3D-printed pieces from bio-polymers—produced on-demand, without excess, and designed to return when their use ends. Each object is part of an ongoing cycle: material becomes form, form serves function, and when that chapter closes, the material returns to begin again. This approach transforms consumption into participation, inviting users to engage with objects not as endpoints but as moments within a larger system of renewal. Cyrc's work sits at the intersection of thoughtful design, responsible production, and circular economy principles. The studio's pieces are artistic, functional, and temporary by intention—crafted to exist beautifully in your life, then transform into something new.

  • Laffanour | Galerie Downtown specializes in 20th century European and American masters of design – most of them architects. Since its opening in the early 1980s, the gallery has been organizing thematic and monographic exhibitions on designers such as Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier and Jean Royère. Shortly after the Second World War, this generation of designers brought a new concept to the Art of furnishing, dictated by a need for freedom and functionality: a new 'Art de vivre' in a time of technological and scientific advances. The gallery also showcases works by Isamu Noguchi, Serge Mouille, José Zanine Caldas, Luis Barragàn and is representing such contemporary designers as Ron Arad and Choi Byung Hoon in France.

  • James de Wulf is an American artist and designer whose practice unfolds at the intersection of collectible furniture, sculpture, and exhibition design. For over two decades, he has worked with concrete, stone, steel, and other materials, combining craftsmanship with a sensitivity shaped by experimentation and cross-cultural inspiration. In his hands, materials are poetically pushed beyond their assumed limits. Their properties are extended, their nature reimagined, and allowed to speak differently. And just like that, aluminum—neat, minimalist—becomes musical in a resonant ping-pong table, where each movement produces sound, and play becomes performance. Concrete, heavy and inert, is animated by organic patterns reminiscent of branches, roots, and animal exoskeletons. Stone, traditionally defined by weight and permanence, is reinterpreted as pliable, capable of conveying the fleeting, delicate lightness of flowers. Across his work, monolithic sculptures and brutalist geometries seem suspended in time, hovering between echoes of ancient civilisations and Sci-Fi imagination. “It all began with a visit to a concrete factory, and later the discovery of the work of Italian architect Angelo Mangiarotti,” de Wulf reflects. “Watching concrete move from liquid matter to architectural presence unlocked my fascination with design.” Transition lies at the core of his creative language. “My work always starts with materials. In some ways, I feel part alchemist, part maker,” he says. Quoting French chemist Antoine de Lavoisier—Nothing is created, everything transforms—de Wulf frames his work as an exploration of flux. “Matter and essence are in constant motion. With my pieces, I seek to capture the quiet poetry of transformation: the subtle shifts occurring between atoms, and those extending far beyond them.” Aluminum steel becomes sound, concrete appears alive, minerality turns ephemeral. James de Wulf has presented his collectible designs at leading international platforms including Design Miami, Salon New York, and Paris Art Week. His practice reflects the curiosity of an explorer. Having lived in Los Angeles, Berlin, Copenhagen, Malmö, and Koh Samui, he is now based in Maui, Hawaii, while continuing to travel in search of new perspectives. “Every new project,” he says, “is an exciting journey.”

  • Trevor Andrew, also known as GucciGhost, is renowned for his street art and digital designs, often featuring his signature motif of an inverted Gucci monogram. Andrew's artistic approach merges the consumer culture appropriation seen in Pop art, reminiscent of Andy Warhol, with the aesthetics of skateboard culture and graffiti, drawing influence from artists like Mark Gonzales and Jean-Michel Basquiat. In a surprising turn of events, Gucci offered Andrew a job in 2016, leading to several successful collaborations, including a popular capsule collection with the iconic Italian fashion house. This collaboration played a significant role in Gucci's organic sales, which rose by 48.3% in the fiscal year. Andrew creates art across a variety of mediums, including paintings and digital works. His pieces have been exhibited at prestigious institutions such as the V&A Museum in London, The Museum of Modern Art in Shanghai, Powerlong Museum in Shanghai, Parco in Osaka, Maccarone Gallery in Los Angeles, Milk Studios in New York, and Allouche Gallery in both LA and NY. In the digital art space, Andrew collaborates with leading platforms like Nifty Gateway, MakersPlace, Sotheby’s, and Christie's.
