Chicago-born artist Shayna Fontana is a conceptual artist whose practice focuses on surrealist photography. Fontana quickly establishing a career shooting fashion editorials and advertisements in New York City with clients that include Gucci, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar. Now based in Dallas, Fontana has become acclaimed for her perspective-shifting fine-art photography, using a singular point of view and fresh perspective to reimagine and reframe ordinary items—shoes, cherries, tennis rackets—into dynamic objects. Her collaboration with Prospect continues Fontana’s exploration of the boundaries at the intersection of art and the everyday. BEYOND THE WORLD SERIES In Fontana’s latest project, she combines her two favorite artistic expressions - her passion for the culinary and her immense talent in photography. With this collection of fine-bone porcelain plates and platters, Fontana challenges our notion of dining in a fantastical fashion, blurring the line between fact and fiction in the vein of Dalì and Oppenheim.

Simon Rasmussen was born in Denmark in 1980. He began working in the fashion industry as a stylist in 2005. Simon moved to New York City in 2011, and shortly thereafter co-founded the print magazine office. As the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief and head stylist, Simon leads coverage of fashion editorials, emerging and established artists, and New York creative culture at large. Since its establishment in 2014, office has expanded under Simon’s direction to include a digital platform, social presence, events, and creative agency. Simon also works as a stylist and fashion consultant for major brands around the world.

All of the Soft Form Studio wearables and objects are created at my home studio in Brooklyn, NY and made by hand, considering the guiding principle that the work of our hands is a vital part in the process of making.
