A rare flyer for a show at the famous and important Just Above Midtown Gallery.
The show featured a performance, filmed demonstration, and specially designed aprons by Janet Ziff and Madeleine Keller. The show highlighted a growing concern about the under-recognition of womens’ labor.
Just Above Midtown was a significant and important NY gallery and self-described laboratory led by Linda Goode Bryant that foregrounded African American artists and artists of color. Open from 1974 until 1986. Extremely rare.
