Bold , architectural , and unmistakably Deco. This vintage French tank ring combines platinum and 18k yellow gold in a striking geometric panel design inspired by the industrial forms of the late Art Deco era. A brilliant center diamond anchors the composition , framed in a square platinum bezel and flanked by additional diamonds that create a strong , symmetrical layout.
The diamonds are bead-set within platinum panels , a hallmark of fine Deco craftsmanship , allowing delicate metal beads to secure each stone while adding texture and light-catching detail. Additional rows of smaller diamonds along the top and bottom edges enhance the sculptural form and amplify the ring’s sparkle.
The diamonds display the character of transitional and early brilliant cuts , with broad facets that produce the lively , slightly softer sparkle typical of mid-20th century stones. Substantial , architectural , and beautifully constructed , this piece embodies the bold elegance of classic French tank rings.
