Fritz Adamski , 2024
Porcelain coated stoneware vases Big: 310mm, Small: 210mm
Fritz Adamski is a ceramist and object designer based in Düsseldorf. The series of vases he made for ‘An Angel’s Share’ consist of white stoneware coated with black stoneware and are glazed from the inside. The design language of the series is influenced by Bauhaus and Memphis and those groups’ shared interest in what might be called primary forms. Despite the precision with which the vases have been crafted, Adamski eschews preparatory sketches or constructions. His design process is intuitive, and he stresses the handmade quality of his objects.
