The twin Weber carburetors were overhauled in preparation for the sale. This 205 Rallye is now offered on dealer consignment in Arizona with a clean Carfax report and a clean Montana title.

Introduced as an affordable option for Group N racing, the 205 Rallye featured a reduced dry weight of approximately 1,750 pounds along with a drivetrain and suspension engineered by Peugeot-Talbot Sport. Each 205 Rallye left the factory finished in white with red model designation decals and Peugeot-Talbot Sport stripes on the grille, sides, and liftgate. Additional details include revised wheel arch flares, integrated rear fog lights, and pop-out quarter windows.

Body-color 14” steel wheels wear Peugeot center caps and are wrapped in 175/60 Yokohama A539 tires with 2020 production date codes. The Rallye’s rack-and-pinion steering was unassisted, and the suspension as well as the front disc and rear drum brakes were shared with the 205 GTi 1.6. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black cloth with red stitching. Peugeot-Talbot Sport logos are embroidered on the front seatbacks, and red carpets are complemented by color-coordinated three-point seatbelts. Weight was reduced by eliminating soundproofing and other amenities such as the glove box lid and center dashboard vents. Markings on the hood release lever are shown up close in the gallery.

The three-spoke steering wheel has a Peugeot-Talbot Sport logo and frames Jaeger instrumentation including a 230-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 131k kilometers (~81k miles), approximately 200 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 1.3L TU24 inline-four featured a sport camshaft along with twin Weber carburetors and was factory-rated at 102 horsepower and 89 lb-ft of torque. Polished intake trumpets have been added in place of the factory air intake system on this example, and the carburetors were rebuilt and tuned in preparation for the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage from its first entry in July 2021.
