A 40 page monograph for artist Luke Evans and the first printed record of his project ‘Xero’.
Luke Evans prints with over five hundred thousand volts to show the hidden patterns in static electricity. The work strips Xerography back to its most basic constituent processes, reflecting upon experiments with electrical charges in the 1700s.
18 specimens selected by the artist have been meticulously reproduced by Push Print in an attempt to bring the densely textured beauty of the original works to the printed page.
The book is loose bound in a cover of reversed artificial black leather, which has a texture of cork – a material that can be used to protect oneself against electricity. The images are reproduced on Mohawk Superfine Ultrawhite Smooth to achieve a fine art quality print. The cover is finished with a gloss black foil to and a matte white foil to the inner cover.
